MONTROSE, HOUSTON

WINLOW
WESTHEIMER
DISTRICT

Winlow Westheimer District is an architecturally significant retail center in the heart of Montrose. The project combines several pre-World War II masonry buildings into a pedestrian destination, indicative of European gathering places, which are conspicuously absent in Houston. The buildings were built in several stages (1920s, 1930s, 1960s, and 1990s) and though each are unique, the project flows as a cohesive unit through multiple landscaped paseos.
